Amended - Appeal to find absconder – HMP Springhill

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information to find a prisoner who has absconded from HMP Springhill.

Martin McDonagh was last seen at the prison at about 10am yesterday (9/8).

Martin is a white man, about 5ft 7ins, stocky, with brown eyes, dark brown hair which he recently shaved.

He has some visible tattoos, including the name ‘Louise’ on his neck along with an image of a scorpion and the name ‘Teresa’ on his left wrist.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Glen Turner of the Investigation Hub based at Aylesbury Vale, said: “Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Martin McDonagh is urged to contact police immediately.

“If you see McDonagh, do not approach him, instead call 999.

“If you have any other information about McDonagh’s whereabouts please call 101 and quote reference number 731 (9/8).

“McDonagh has links to Oxford, so we would ask residents to be vigilant and look out for him in the city.

“He is serving a prison sentence for a burglary offence after he was convicted last year.”
