Appeal for information regarding rape – Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information regarding a rape of a woman in Oxford.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, left Plush nightclub at about 2.10am today (12/4).

A man approached her as she left the club and then followed her along High Street towards the Marston Road and South Park Road area.

At some point during her journey, the man led her to an unknown location and raped her.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Tracey Benham of Force CID said: “I am appealing to anyone with any information about this incident to contact the police as soon as possible.

“If you saw or heard anything suspicious, including a woman walking with a man or a woman in a distressed state then please contact us.

“The offender is a black man, in his twenties, slim, about 5ft 3ins tall, with black cornrows worn in a bun and stubble. He was wearing a grey jumper.

“We also need to hear from anyone with dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage from the areas of High Street, Marston Road, South Park Road and Canterbury Road to contact police.

“The victim was found in a distressed state by a member of the public in Woodstock Road at about 3.40am. However, the location of the offence is yet to be established.
