At around 3.15pm on Monday (10/6) offenders forced their way into a property in Radley Road. They gained entry by smashing the glass of a side door. Whilst inside the offenders were disturbed by the victim, a 37-year-old woman, who returned to the property.
Whilst exiting the property one of the offenders hit the victim on the shoulder, causing her to stumble back. The men ran out of the rear garden and left the scene in a black Audi with a partial index GU***WK.
A large quantity of cash was stolen.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Whitcombe based at Abingdon police station said: “This incident happened during the day and we think there could be a number of people who may have seen what happened.
“If you were in the area at this time, you may have seen two men acting suspiciously before or after this incident.
“I am urging anybody who has any information, or who recognises the vehicle described to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 43190174793 or make a report online.
“This was distressing for the victims in this case and it is fortunate that no-one was injured.
“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
