Appeal for witnesses following a series of arson incidents – Lower Earley

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a series of arson incidents in Lower Earley.

The incidents all took place between Wednesday 29 May and Sunday (9/6).

The first incident took place on Elm Road on 29 May, at around 1am, where a bin was set alight.

The second incident took place on Nutmeg Close on Saturday (8/6), sometime between midnight and 2pm, where an estate agent board was set alight.

The third incident took place on Cinnamon Close on Sunday (9/6), at around 2am, where a bed mattress was set alight.

The fourth incident took place in an open space between Beaconsfield Way and Elms Lane on Sunday (9/6), at around 1am.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Howard Rose from the Wokingham West Neighbourhood team at Loddon Valley police station, said: “We take these incidents very seriously and have increased patrols in the area.

“I am appealing for any witnesses who were in these areas at the time and may have seen or heard anything unusual to come forward.
