Appeal for witnesses following aggravated burglary – Bourne End

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Bourne End.

At around 3.45pm on Wednesday (5/6), the victim, a woman in her seventies, woke up to find three men in her house in Cressington Place. One of the men pointed a screwdriver at the victim whilst the other two men searched the house.

The offenders the left the house carrying a green carrier bag and a smaller bag.

A large quantity of jewellery and cash was taken.

The victim was not injured.

The first offender is described as being of slim build. He was wearing a shirt, smart trousers with a belt, and gloves.

The second offender is described as being of large build.

The third offender is described as slim and wearing black shoes.

All three offenders were described as white men and were wearing balaclavas.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lisa Murton, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information to please come forward.

“This occurred in the middle of the afternoon so there is a good chance that someone may have seen what happened.

“I would also ask people who were in the local area around the time of the incident to check their dash-cam footage in case it may have captured what happened. In particular, I would urge any drivers who were travelling along the A4155 Marlow Road at around 3.45pm on Wednesday (4/6) to review their footage.”
