Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Oxford.
At around 5.30pm on Saturday (11/5) the victim, a 16-year-old girl, was involved in an altercation with a man on New Inn Hall Street. During the incident the girl was punched in the face twice.
The victim sustained a deep cut to her face and a temporary loss of consciousness. She attended the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
The offender is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, with dark brown hair which was longer on the top and short on the sides and of large build. He was wearing a maroon polo shirt and a light coloured jacket.
Investigating officer, PC Rachel Parrott, based at Oxford police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident to contact police as soon as possible.
