CCTV images released after women threatened – Reading

Thames Valley Police is releasing images of a man they would like to speak to after two women were threatened in Reading.

At around 10.30pm on Wednesday (6/3) two women were approached by a man with a knife outside Tesco Extra on Portman Road.

The victims and offender started to argue as they entered the shop.

A security guard then approached the offender who shoved him in the chest before leaving.

Investigating officer, PC Rich Steele, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV image to please get in touch.

“Furthermore, if anyone may have information about the incident, please come forward.

“You can contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101 or make a report online.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
