Thames Valley Police is appealing for the victim of an assault to come forward - Wokingham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for a victim to come forward following an assault in Wokingham.

The incident took place around 7.30pm on Tuesday (26/6) at the Pinewood Bar and Café on Old Wokingham Road.

The victim, who is currently unknown and believed to be a man in his forties, was assaulted in the car park by a number of other men believed to be from a motorcycle group.

It is understood that the victim was assaulted and then taken into nearby woodland.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Jonathan Hare based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “We are concerned for the welfare of the victim and I would encourage them to come forward. Our investigation has included searches in nearby woodland, reviewing CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries.

“I am also appealing for witnesses with information about this incident to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference ‘URN 1653 of 26 June’.
