In his new role Ch Insp Hill plans to focus on service delivery through collaborative partnership working and building on existing relationships within the community.

On his new appointment, Ch Insp Hill said: “I am really excited to become the Deputy Commander for Reading. We have an incredibly dedicated and talented team and it is a privilege to be given the opportunity to support them in their commitment to keeping the town safe.

“My priorities are to support and develop our officers, staff and volunteers to ensure we continue to provide the best possible service for our neighbourhoods. I will also be focussing our work on effective partnerships, intervention and investigation to help protect the most vulnerable and target those who cause harm within our communities.”
